A very important issue indeed....

No, this is not a recap of our AMAZING weekend getaway...but thats coming (hopefully later this week). Promise.

Today I have a very important matter that needs to be tended to.

I need makeup advice...and I know I can count on my beautiful readers to point me in the right direction.

I tend to drop some serious $$$ when it comes to stocking up on makeup. And when your in the process of buying a house, house wins. Makeup loses.

So when I saw an email blast that the Elf makeup line is offering $1.98 shipping...I decided to go for it.

Problem is...I've never tried anything past their eyeshadow & eyeliner.

I'm in desperate need of some good recommendations on their "face" products, primarily concealer & powder/bronzer.

They have WAY to many to choose from & I need to hit the jackpot here.

Mineral? Pressed? High Definition? Studio? Essential?

I mean, what the hell. I just want to look flawless & beautiful, like Beyonce. Except the Caucasian part.

A little bit about my skin...kind of an olive tone, no redness, a little oily...and I have a huge nose. Not that that matters, but I thought i'd throw that in for shits.

So...all you Elfettes out there, help a big nose sistah out!

I love the HD powder and I also use their mineral foundation and I have to say I get the same coverage that I did with bare minerals...and saved myself A TON of money in the process. Any of their blushes are great and their mineral infused mascera is pretty amazing as well.

I am in the same boat as you. I've only used certain things. I cannot live without ELF eye primer! I need to try the face primer! I just haven't bought any yet! Good luck and rack up!

I would suggest getting a matte bronzer for contouring with an angled brush (I use their $1 option. Seriously, $1!!) and their studio bronzer in warm or golden. I've been using those for a while and really like them. They aren't super pigmented, so can be used all over for a soft glow and blending other products.

If you get some mascara. Dont get the one thats onlya dollar. It is really gloopy and clogs up over my eyelashes. The eyeshadows and eyeliner are good.

Ohh I love that you posted this! I've been debating making the switch from Bare Minerals to Elf because I've heard a lot of great things, and obvi the price difference. I really can't turn down $1.98 shipping...

I love ELF! I am a huge fan of the eye shadow primer, the mineral eye shadows, blush and cream eyeliner. If you do the eyeliner, get the angled brush too...the one that comes with it is too small. I am a BM girl with the powder/foundation but I think I am going to make the switch and see how I like it.

I've tried a couple of their products as of late and really like their blush, the mascara not so much. After you've used the products you've purchased please let us (or me at least, lol) what you liked and didn't. I've recently made the switch from MAC powder to Neutrogena, but I don't like it. Trying to save money on makeup without compromising quality is hard!

Can't wait to hear what you say about what you bought! I have a great elf blush- neon pink- that I love. It's the perfect touch when I'm tan!
