Armed & Ready....for some GIRL TIME.

I know I've said this before & I'll say it again....there are not alot of things in life better than an impromptu night out with your 'ol girlfriends.  Throw in some cheesedip & it becomes orgasmic.

Am I right or am I right?

My sorority (DELTA DELTA DELTA baby) sisters & I always get together around the holidays, and it's one of the main things I look forward to this time of year.  We all live fairly close to one another, minus the Montana-ers, Chicagoans & Seattle-ers so we're pretty blessed.  However we don't get together near as much as we should.  But even when several months pass between our get togethers, we reconnect like we saw eachother just the week before. 

I love hearing about where everyone is in their lives....doctorate programs, marriage, new relationships blossoming, careers & babies babies babies.  Each of these ladies hold a special place in my heart & for that, I'll always be grateful. 

Sistahs 'fo life.

And let me just say, the merlot induced fuzziness I feel today....SO worth it.

Lucky for me, I had just lathered up my nails in a new polish I got for Christmas.

You can always count on them going on smooth, always looking great & holding up thru rough days.  Like a good husband should be.

Date night tonight with Mr. Xenos & our last holiday shin dig at our home Saturday evening, otherwise some much needed R&R. 

On a serious note, one of Jon's dear friends that he grew up with passed away over the Christmas holiday.  Only 30 years old.....just heartbreaking.  We are attending his funeral tomorrow morning.  Please keep his family & loved ones in your prayers over these next few days.

That was just the song of the weekend on the Niangua River this past weekend, so using it for the title of my recap is only appropriate.  And you best believe I motor boated the hubs a few times as well.

I have a question--when did cooler radios become the new thang?  We were so NOT the cool kids as we lacked one of these bad boys. 

                             

But even without a cooler radio, our float trip was a success. I truly believe we had the most amazing campsite spot on the river....AMAZING.

Ok, seriously.  That chihauhau.  I about died.  And we totally shared chihauhau pics right there on the side of the river. 

I'm that girl.

               The next morning we woke up to a beautiful cool breeze & fog on the river.  It was serene!

And then my husband turned into this.

Yes.  I married that.  I mean, can you blame me?

The weekend wrapped up with the best damn s'mores I've EVER had.  Maybe it's because I'd been in the hot sun all day & needed any type of carb I could lay my hand on.  My scale hates me this morning, by the way.

I Love Birthdays!

Had a great time this weekend. I feel so blessed for the friendships Jon and I have. We are surrounded by wonderful people and for that I am truly grateful!!

My frickin' fabulous husband is taking me out for a (hopefully very romantic) Valentines/Birthday date night.  Happy frickin' birthday to ME!

Saturday night.....oh I can feel my frickin' toenails falling off just thinking about it.  My 70's Themed Birthday Par-tay!!!!!  The toenail comment you ask....well I wore white go go boots back in college for one of my date parties and lost BOTH my big toenails a few weeks later.  I literally danced my toenails off!  Who does that!?!?!

Holy frickin' cow I just peed my pants a little thinking about how excited I am for my disco dress to arrive tomorrow.
